The Slingshot Charitable Foundation is a philanthropic organization committed to improving the greater Dallas community by supporting future generations through early childhood learning.
Through financial gifts and service, The Foundation strives to support groups who are locally based, believe in the importance of early intervention, and are focused on breaking the cycle of under-achievement by at-risk and underprivileged students.
Application Requirements
Interested parties should apply by submitting answers to the questionnaire digitally or by mail, and must meet all of the following criteria in order to be considered eligible for funding:
- Primary focus in education for at-risk and underprivileged children
- Locally based in the Dallas metroplex and serve the local area
- A certified 501(c)3 organization and be able to provide a copy of certification
- Able to provide independently audited annual financial statements upon request
- Provide at least one opportunity during the applicable year for Slingshot employees and stakeholders to volunteer with the organization and share in the benefit of the gift from a hands-on perspective
- Submit all requests in writing

Distribution / Award of Funds
The Slingshot Foundation anticipates distributing two or three individual gifts of $10,000 for the 2011 fiscal year pending:
- Amount of funds available
- Quality and quantity of applicant organizations
- Ability for available funds to make a meaningful difference to its recipients
